Invisalign uses clear, customized aligners that gently move your teeth into place over time. When it first hit the market in the late 1990s, Invisalign was mainly used for minor cases or patients with orthodontic relapse after using braces. But today? It’s come a long way. Decades of research have made Invisalign powerful enough to handle even complex orthodontic challenges—often with results that rival traditional braces.
Today, the Invisalign system can address several dental issues, including:
Invisalign in Seattle, Washington, offers a discreet and effective solution for orthodontic issues. Imagine meeting friends and speaking in public without worrying about a mouth full of metal! Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible when worn, making them attractive to celebrities, professionals, teens, adults, and anyone insecure about traditional braces.
Great question! Yes, Invisalign can temporarily affect your speech, but the effects are usually mild and short-lived. Here’s what to expect.
Some people develop a minor lisp, particularly when first wearing the aligners. This can momentarily impact how certain sounds are formed (like “s” or “z” sounds). This typically occurs because your tongue is adjusting to the thin plastic covering your teeth.
The good news? Most patients adapt within a few days to a week. As your tongue gets used to the aligners, speech typically returns to normal. Practice helps with a quicker transition. Reading aloud or speaking more during the first few days can speed up your adaptation.
Just because your friend or relative spent a certain amount on Invisalign doesn’t mean you’ll spend the same. Invisalign is a personalized treatment, so the cost varies from case to case. To determine your Invisalign cost in Seattle, WA, schedule an orthodontic consultation with A Dental & Denture.
